Meet the Principal

Principal's Message

(Forthcoming Leadership Transition: 2026/2027 School Year)

North Families,

June, near-summer greetings to you and thank you in advance for reading this message. At the conclusion of this school year, I will transition from our North team to become the principal at nearby Evergreen Middle School. I am proud to announce that Holly Sullivan, current assistant principal, will become our new principal beginning with the forthcoming 2026/2027 school year. This transition will not impact our final weeks of this school year as Holly and I will begin this transition later this month.

Many of you already know Holly from her two years serving as part of our North team. Holly joined us at the beginning of the 2024/2025 school year from the Highline Public Schools where she served as assistant principal at Sylvester Middle School. Across her career, Holly has served as an assistant principal at both the elementary and middle school levels and has taught and served as an instructional coach specializing in math at the middle school level. An alum of the University of Oregon, Holly earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees at Oregon before becoming an educator in Washington.

Personally, this announcement comes with the mixed emotions of gratitude and appreciation. I am thrilled that Holly will be leading North forward as everyone on our North team, including Mr. Bae Williams and I know Holly's rare blend of talent as a compassionate leader with exceptional instructional knowledge. At the same time, I will miss our STARs and serving alongside my North colleagues. They are dear to me, and I am fortunate to have served this beloved North community for the past three years. Together, the improvements that we have made on behalf of our STARs encompass nearly every aspect of our school including year-over-year academic growth, school safety, and student wellbeing. Initial results from this 2025/2026 school year are continuing to be reported but I am pleased with what we have seen thus far.

Thank you again for your time & goNorth!

Respectfully,

Tyler Ream
Principal, North Middle
